Principal's Welcome

I would like to warmly welcome all of our students, families, and staff to Van Meter Elementary School for the 24-25 school year.  My name is Jenny Anderson and I am proud to be serving as Interim Principal this year. I had the privilege of working at Van Meter at the beginning of my time in LGUSD, and I’m so excited to return and support all of our students, staff, and families in a successful school year.  

 

Van Meter is an outstanding school where providing our students with a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment is our highest priority. We take pride in intentionally incorporating the Bulldog Way (being Safe, Respectful, Responsible, and Kind) into all aspects of our school, from engaging in the classroom to playing on the field and everything in between.  

 

The caring and hard-working Van Meter team includes more than thirty teachers and dozens of support staff who work collaboratively to provide rigorous academic content, a robust enrichment program, and many special events throughout the year. We are proud partners with our incredible Home and School Club and the entire parent community. We believe that when we work together every child can be successful. Go Bulldogs!
