Welcome!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of our students, staff and community members back to Van Meter Elementary School. The mission of Van Meter Elementary School is to prepare each student to be successful in school and in life. This is accomplished by providing our students with a safe and positive environment that supports their learning. Through high expectations for behavior and academics, we will guide students as they acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that foster an enjoyment of learning as well as a respect for themselves and others. Van Meter School is a great place for children to grow and develop as they progress from kindergarten through 5th grade. The staff at Van Meter is an extremely caring and motivated staff and continually challenges the students to be at their best each and every day. We are continually changing to meet the needs of all of our learners as well as the needs of the world around us. Go Bulldogs!
